Proper care ensures your wig stays beautiful, soft, and natural-looking for months – even years. Follow these essential tips:
Washing Your Wig
- Wash every 15-20 wears or when you notice product buildup
- Use lukewarm (never hot) water and sulfate-free shampoo specifically formulated for human hair
- Gently lather from roots to ends – never rub or twist
- Rinse thoroughly and apply conditioner, avoiding the root area
- Let air dry on a wig stand – never use a hairdryer on high heat
Daily Care Routine
- Brush gently with a wide-tooth comb or wig brush, starting from the ends and working up
- Sleep with a silk or satin scarf, or on a satin pillowcase to prevent tangling
- Avoid excessive heat styling – when you do style, always use a heat protectant spray
- Store on a wig stand when not wearing to maintain shape and prevent tangling
Styling Tips
- Use heat tools on low to medium settings (below 180°C/350°F)
- Coloring is possible, but we recommend having it done professionally
- Avoid swimming with your wig, or wear a swimming cap if you do
- Minimize exposure to chlorinated water and saltwater
Extending Wig Lifespan
- Rotate between multiple wigs to reduce wear on any single piece
- Don’t wear your wig to bed
- Avoid excessive product use – less is more when it comes to wig care
- Have your wig professionally deep conditioned every 2-3 months
- With proper care, a high-quality human hair wig can last 12-24 months or even longer – making it a worthwhile investment in your confidence and style.
